A French dairy specialising in the production of powdered baby milks and alternative milks

In the heart of the unspoilt countryside of the French department of Vendée, Lacticare formulates and designs powdered baby milks and alternative milks, contributing to the vitality of the local economy and maintaining local employment: cow’s milk, goat’s milk, ewe’s milk etc. produced from carefully selected, traceable, traditional and organic raw materials.

Focussing on milks of French origin is obvious for Lacticare, within a sector-based dynamic. We care about our local producers, so they are involved in our corporate governance. At the very heart of our philosophy are short circuits, traceability, quality and food safety for a sensitive population. We believe in combining health and naturalness! This is because at Lacticare, we are convinced that good health also includes having simple, strong values: proximity, local, sustainable development, a human-sized company, short circuits etc. We energetically defend Naturalness as one of our pivotal values! It is our duty to implement the most stringent production standards because we are an integral part of feeding the most vulnerable people (babies and seniors). Our goal is to produce healthy, eco-friendly food within a responsible, equitable sector which maintains the vibrancy of the local economy!

At Lacticare, quality is above all a matter of determination. We focus on using French raw materials. We control the quality and traceability of all our ingredients from the farm to the bottle or glass of milk. Controlling risks to health is our priority. For each production of baby milk, we now carry out 400 microbiological tests at product level, 120 environmental microbiological tests and, on average, 20 tests for nutritional criteria. We are Ecocert certified for the production and distribution of our organic products.

Lacticare was born from the desire to maintain a fabric of local skills, to make the most of our producers’ expertise and the wish to respond to the market demand for a variety of niche products. Our human-sized factory contributes to the vitality of the local economy and the maintenance of jobs in our regions. Our farming partners know that the milk from their goats, cows or other animals will be directly transformed into highly nutritional products in a factory close to their farm.
